We have provided an online directory of hospitals
where at least one all female ob/gyn practice has privileges
there. Most hospitals have at least several ob/gyn practices
with privileges there. Many of them have both male and female
ob/gyns. In all ob/gyn practices, ob/gyns are on rotation so
if you want to have assurance that only a female ob/gyn be present
for your childbirth, you will need to choose an all female ob/gyn
practice. Make sure that the all female ob/gyn practice
doesn't rotate with other practices by contacting them before
you make a decision. You also will need to take into
consideration that if you needed a Cesarean section or epidural
that an anesthesiologist or a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
(CRNA) will be involved in your care. Make sure that they are
aware you want only females in your care. If for some reason,
only a male anesthesiologist is available, you could request
that you be properly covered and prepped before he comes in
so he would not see any of your private parts at all.
We cannot guarantee that this directory is correct because
changes often take place that we may not be aware of. Sometimes,
female ob/gyn practices may dissolve or quit practicing at a
hospital. Be sure you call the female ob/gyn practices first
to see if their information is still accurate. Check out statistics
for all-female ob/gyn practices. Also,
we cannot guarantee you that the female doctors in the practices
listed on this directory will agree with your wishes for modesty.
You will need to consult with the gynecologist and ask questions
regarding modesty to determine if she is the right doctor for
you.
If you see any outdated information or you would like for us
to add an all female ob/gyn practice that is not yet in the
directory,
. Also, check out our all-female
ob/gyn practice locator that allows you to search
for practices based on miles.
